The United Jewish Center takes pride in serving our youth with three outstanding Youth Groups: The Anne Frank Club for fourth and fifth graders; the Henry Dick Club for sixth through eighth graders; and the Stephen Wise Youth Club for high school students. They allow our children to socialize while participating in activities that embrace the highest mandates of our Jewish heritage.
Our Youth Group belongs to the North American Federation of Temple Youth - NorthEast (NFTY-NE), which provides them an opportunity to socialize and participate in learning with other Jewish young people. College students receive holiday packages and are honored at an Annual College Reunion Shabbat.
For information on upcoming activities, see our Youth Group Activities page.
Additional active components of synagogue life are our Sisterhood and Brotherhood. Here you can contribute to the United Jewish Center while enjoying the company of friends. Monthly meetings, brunches, sporting events, dinners, dances, fund raising programs, lectures and special programs are sponsored by both organizations.
Our older congregants enjoy monthly meetings and outings sponsored by the Active Adults.
Joining a Synagogue can be an especially difficult decision for intermarried families, who often ask themselves, "Will we really feel a part of the congregation?" and "Are they aware of our special needs?" In an effort to respond to these needs, the United Jewish Center has created an Outreach Program.
Outreach offers a variety of classes and activities for all those seeking an understanding of and participation in Jewish life. The program also serves the needs of those who wish to explore the possibility of choosing Judaism.
