Donating/Spending to Donate

There are a number of ways you can help the UJC online:

Congregants who have their credit card information on file with the UJC office can now make fund donations from this site. Please fill in and send the donation page to the UJC office. The page allows you to select any of the UJC funds. Your donations are appreciated.

We have identified three ways to raise money for the UJC without it costing you anything more than you would normally pay shopping:

Scrip: What is scrip? Scrip is a term that means “substitute money.” When you purchase scrip, you’re purchasing prepaid gift cards. You or the recipient can use scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing and other essentials.
How Scrip generates revenue for the UJC:
We buy the scrip from Great Lakes Scrip Center at a discount and resell it at full face value. The discount – from two to fifteen percent or more — is the UJC’s profit!
A list of retailers and order form are available on this web site, in our Shofar or at the UJC office. We'll be placing orders monthly.

iGive.com: Go to igive.com and register, which will name the United Jewish Center of Danbury as the organization you wish to support. Then use igive.com as your launching point before buying from one of (currently) 680 online stores. igive.com shows you the percentage of your purchase that will go to the UJC.
