Social Action

Remember those less fortunate!

If you’re cold these days (and nights) when heading outside, remember those who have no warm homes to go back to. Our homeless are in desperate need of socks, long underwear and heavy winter gloves. It’s a very long day when you’re homeless and just trying to find a place to go to get out of the cold.

Please bring your donations to the UJC and leave them in the box at the bottom of the steps inside the UJC. Thank you!

Taste of Torah: Esther 4

This translation was taken from the JPS Tanakh

Esther 4

Mordecai had this message delivered to Esther: “Do not imagine that you, of all the Jews, will escape with your life by being in the king’s palace. On the contrary, if you keep silent in this crisis, relief and deliverance will come to the Jews from another quarter, while you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows, perhaps you have attained to royal position for just such a crisis.”
