MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
OUR NEXT SUNDAY BREAKFAST:
- PLEASE JOIN US ON SUNDAY, MAY 15 AT 10:00 AM AS DAVID GILMAN MODERATES A WORKSESSION ON MAXIMIZING INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS, focusing on how to define and understand your interpersonal communication style, and how you can use that understanding to modify your own style as well as influence others in both your personal and professional lives. This is a course used by major firms including Cendant, Duracell, UBS, and Bayer. We encourage you to bring your significant other, as it will make the session more fun. There is no charge, but we ask that you contact Art Prager (746-1072), or respond to this e-mail, to reserve a seat.
- We're planning a group outing to a RENEGADES minor league baseball game, with an included pre-game picnic, on August 14.. For those of you who have never been there, it's about 40 minutes away, right off I84 in Beacon, NY. Families are invited. The Hudson Valley Renegades (Tampa Bay Devil Rays) will play the New Jersey Cardinals (St. Louis Cardinals) minor league baseball (New York - Penn League) at 5:11pm. Gates open at 4:11pm for our picnic which lasts 1.5 hours and then we sit in our right field seats. Tickets and picnic are $15 per person and parking is $3 per car. The games usually last about three hours and there is a children's playground. We've ordered 25 tickets with the ability to go as high as 50 as long as tickets are available. Checks should be made payable to Brotherhood and sent to Alan Wunsch. Please send in your checks to reserve a seat, and so we can determine if we need to buy more seats, while they are still available. I KNOW THIS IS NOT UNTIL AUGUST, BUT IT WOULD BE APPRECIATED IF YOU COULD MAKE A COMMITMENT NOW, AS THE GAMES THERE USUALLY SELL OUT, AND WE NEED TO KNOW WHETHER TO BUY MORE TICKETS
PAST EVENTS:
- David Katz's April 17 presentation of selected scenes from his new play, Muse of Fire, was outstanding. About 60-70 Brotherhood and Active Adults members attended the brunch and performance.
- Our wine tasting event at the home of Victoria Kahn and Marc Chiffert was a great way to end Passover. Thank you to Victoria and Marc, and to those of you that participated that afternoon, and to those of you who purchased wine as well, through the help and generosity of Mike Stier.
- We tried something different this year and held our annual Brotherhood dinner for paid up members at TWO STEPS. The food and the company were great, and we thank Alan Wunsch for his efforts in creating and running the evening.
