The night before Mitzvah Day, the Henry Dick Club gathered to bake delicious treats
We gathered at the UJC to meet up and eat
We collected candy and sold phone cards for the American troops
We joined together in prayer before leaving to do our mitzvot
We packed up baskets for the elderly
We visited with some of our neighbors
We prepared bag lunches and served home-cooked food at the Dorothy Day Center
We wrote letters to our soldiers
We made sock puppets for a Women's Center project
We did crafts to spruce up our other Mitzvah Day projects
We built a deck at the local Girl Scout camp
We took time to eat bagels and Henry Dick Club baked goods (and took a group photo)
Then we got back to work
One person makes a difference!
