Passover Chocolates and Cakes The Religious School is once again sponsoring a Passover candy sale fundraiser. This year we are offering candy and other goods from the Miss Chocolate catalog with Bartons Chocolates, and Kosher for Passover cakes. We have sent catalogs and order forms home with our students. If you do not have a child in the religious school and would like to support our school, please obtain an order form from the Religious School Office. You can also browse the Miss Chocolate catalog and print a copy of the order form from the UJC website. All orders are due by February 26. Please join in and help make our school fundraiser a success! We are also selling Kosher for Passover cakes. You can print an order form to bring to the religious school office. It is also possible to have Miss Chocolate orders shipped out of town and still benefit the school, by ordering from http://www.misschocolate.com. Our school code for purchases is 702640. Under the leadership of Rabbi Librach, we are continuing the re-imaging of synagogue life and the value of membership in our community. Our aim is to bring us all closer to each other by fostering an environment of enthusiasm for Jewish living and learning. We need not be passive observers, but a community of learners. That is how our social and cultural bonds will be enhanced and secure, and our thirst for knowledge will be inspired. Read all about The Center for Jewish Learning for 5772. We have great teachers: Cantor Kessler, Ruth Gruber, and our master teacher, Rabbi Cliff Librach. There is something here for everyone, and a challenge and a chance to bring the synagogue and your Jewish life closer. We will honor those who honor themselves with learning and commitment. This booklet contains one of the most exciting of concepts and opportunities for our congregation in its history; please get involved. The Baal Shem Tov once said: If you want your prayers to bear fruit, offer them with pleasure and joy. Every Saturday morning at the United Jewish Center, a congenial group gathers for Torah study at 8:45, worship at 10:00, refreshments and fellowship at noon. Come and join us. It's a feel-good habit worth sharing.
